National Railway Museum at York
I have been living in York for two years but today was my first time to visit the famous National Railway Museum. York is a tourist city, the city wall, Minster, Clifford Tower are something you must visit. However, if you do have spare time, if you want to have a family fun, I recommend the National Railway Museum.
The museum is located behind the rail station. The official website is http://www.nrm.org.uk/home/home.asp
The museum has three indoor halls and one outside hall. It's fun for all ages, especially children can have their own playground.
There is a brand new Yorkshire wheel. Go there and watch the beautiful York from the sky!
